If you are a school looking for a Speech and Language Therapist then I highly recommend a wonderful lady, Kate Goodhew.
Since the Autumn Term of 2015, our school has been extremely fortunate to have found such a truly outstanding Speech and Language Therapist in Kate Goodhew.
Kates professionalism, warmth, knowledge and attentiveness, has seen all the children look forward to her visits. Her sessions with the children include many games and activities, which Kate has tailored to their individual needs, and are delivered in a playful, fun learning environment.
On the professional side of things, Kate carries out thorough assessments to determine the children's needs; she regularly liaises with the children's parents and other professionals. At the end of each session Kate meets with the school staff for instant feedback, and supplies all resources to help continue the children's development between visits. She completes all the target sheets and reports for each child, on their progress. Forwarding the papers to school along with copies for the parents. Kate revises and sets new targets when appropriate. Taking away from the school staff all the worry, giving them more time where it matters most, working with the children.
Kate has made great strides with my little group, and it has been a delight to see each one grow in confidence. Kate you have made a big difference to the little ones and I cannot thank you enough.
The final words should come from the children themselves, to let you know how much they have enjoyed their time with you.
"I love Kate, she's lovely. I like the games we play. They are fun. I'm happy."
"Kates funny she makes me smile. I like her games. My favourite is the marbles, oh and the picture cards, and her box of toys."
"She has a magic box like our box in class. It's full of fun things. She lets me play games with her. She help me lots to. I laugh when we play big feet. I step on as I say sounds. It's funny."
"Kate is nice; she gave me my diamond card. I remember to use 'is' now. Kate has fun games. I want to play them all the time."
"Kate always smiles. She's happy. I'm happy. I'm happy when I see her. She play some games, we have fun. I like when we hide the animals in the bag."
Thank you once again Kate.
